On 11th March 2010, high-ranking representatives from the fields of business, politics, culture and science came together for a conference organised by the German-Russian Forum in Moscow. MEDIA CONSULTA (MC) was responsible for the press work leading up to this prestigious international event.
On behalf of the German-Russian Forum (DRF), MC drafted and sent out press releases in German and Russian, managed journalists’ invitations and looked after their requirements at the conference site. The agency also assumed responsibility for editing and producing MC newsletters, and for designing an advertising banner. MEDIA CONSULTA’s TV team also created a high quality film for the German-Russian Forum.
The highlight of the event was a panel featuring Gerhard Schröder, former German Chancellor and current head of the Shareholder Committee for Nord Stream AG, and Alexej Mordaschow, Chairman of the Board and General Director for the Russian metallurgical company Severstal. The two guests of honour discussed the topic of “Challenges and opportunities for the partnership between Germany and Russia.” In their talks, they committed themselves to continue promoting the economic, political and cultural aspects of the partnership between Germany and Russia.
Amongst the approximately 400 invited guests were managers and executives from renowned companies such as Siemens Moscow, KPMG Moscow, E.ON Russia, Volkswagen, Deutsche Bank, Mercedes Benz and Gazprom Germania GmbH. Numerous delegates from scientific, political and cultural organisations also took part in the event, including representatives of the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD), the Heinrich Böll Foundation and the Goethe Institut of Moscow.
The German-Russian Forum was founded in 1993 through the initiative of Alexandra Graf Lambsdorff. The Forum is a private, independent and non-partisan association. Its members include entrepreneurs, academics, politicians and representatives of the arts community.
