MCUK Supports ECDC At IMED Conference In Vienna

MC invited health journalists from across Europe to attend the International Meeting on Emerging Diseases and Surveillance conference in Vienna

Using the platform of the highly reputable 4-day IMED conference (International Meeting on Emerging Diseases and Surveillance) in Vienna, Media Consulta UK (MCUK) invited health journalists from across Europe for a dedicated media programme. MCUK was also successful in its invitation of key Austrian print and broadcast media for the ECDC press conference that was held to present the highlights of the IMED conference.

MCUK managed the media relations for the ECDC events, which brought keynote speakers from the IMED conference together with the journalists. Prof Hrabcik, Chief Medical Officer of Austria and Chairman of ECDC’s Management Board, Dick Thompson, WHO News Team Leader and Timothy Brewer, IMED Programme Scientific Committee, were just three of the high-profile guests that held an audience with the journalists.

MC also set up an overarching Europe-wide media monitoring solution to capture and analyse coverage resulting from the attendance of the journalists and information that was distributed to non-attending media across Europe.
