Maja Zupan, Country Manager

With over ten years of both in-house and agency experience in consulting organisations across Europe and the United States, Maja has extensive experience in reputation management, branding and stakeholder engagement. Her clients span across industries, including technology, FCMG, arts, travel and professional services. Maja has led a number of global communications campaigns and has experience in setting up and managing global networks of PR agencies. Maja has joined Media Consulta as Country Manager for the UK office with the goal to grow MCUK’s national presence, as well as involvement in international campaigns.

Zala Zia, Head of Health PR and Communications

Zala lived and studied in Oxford, shortly before coming on board with MC, where she has worked for over three years. She is CIM qualified and has gained experience with a variety of public and private sector clients in the UK and across Europe. As Head of Health PR and Communications, Zala provides counsel for MC’s health clients and takes lead responsibility for the conception and implementation of both local and international integrated campaigns. She currently leads the pan-European account for The European Centre for Disease Prevention and Control. Zala also managed the comms campaign for the European Commission’s Maritime Policy for the Union, gathering support and raising awareness for its Green Paper from stakeholders in the UK. In her time at MC, Zala has also been behind the activities for the launch of Dunlop’s ‘Touch Technology’ campaign, the EC’s Stop Discrimination Truck Tour, the yearly Balearic Islands promotion at the World Travel Market and the EC’s Enlargement programme.

Basil Kelly, New Business Manager

After gaining a degree in International Relations, Basil started work in London and began a career as a recruitment consultant before entering PR as a business development manager. Basil's PR business development experience has been extensive and involved working for a number of firms. Throughout his career he has dealt with national and international brands such as Porsche, BMW, Rockstar Games and Maplin Electronics to just mention a few. Since February he has been based at MCUK London where his brief is to build up a portfolio of national and international clients.
